Sustainamania:
Ditching the Thirsty Lawn
Has your water bill reached triple digits? According to the Environmental Protection Agency, nearly a third of all residential water use in the United States currently goes toward landscaping -- but it doesn't have to. In fact, by investing a little time and energy up front you can not only create beautiful landscapes, but reap the many long term rewards of creating gardens specifically designed to thrive in the environment in which they are planted. On September 20 & 21st at Cornerstone Sonoma leading experts in sustainable gardening will come together for the first time to offer two free days of advice, ideas and inspiration, including several display gardens and an extensive nursery of plants specifically selected to thrive in our region.
Participating Nurseries Include:
Digging Dog • Geraniaceae • Greenlee Nursery • The Dry Garden
